The shower in the cottage was decent and provided a refreshing start to the day. the location of the cottage was perfect for our needs, offering a peaceful and quiet getaway. We were able to visit a family member who had recently come out of hospital without imposing on their hospitality. the cottage had all the amenities we needed, making it a mini home from home. the surrounding area seemed ideal for lovely walks, which we hope to explore in the future.
While it was difficult to find any major negatives, it would have been nice if the cottage provided a hairdryer, although we should have brought our own. the accommodation also had some quirks, with limited headroom upstairs and a tiny washbasin in the bathroom.

We stayed at Wagtail Cottage for a short break to visit a family member recovering from hospital. The location was perfect for a quiet getaway, and the cottage itself was cosy and well-equipped. Despite the bad weather, we enjoyed the beautiful outlook and garden. The host was friendly and helpful, and the interior was tidy and modern. The bed was comfortable, and we loved the super comfy sofa. In better weather, we would definitely explore the surrounding area and enjoy some lovely walks.

Great host and comfy bed! The host was really friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The bed was super comfy and provided a good night's sleep after a long day. The location of the accommodation was also perfect, as it was close to Oulton Park, making it convenient for my business trip.
Limited headroom and tiny washbasin. The quirky accommodation upstairs meant that there was limited headroom, which was a bit uncomfortable.

The location of the cottage is ideal for a quiet getaway and is well-located for beautiful walks in better weather. the cottage itself is cozy and provides a comfortable stay, with everything needed for a mini home away from home. the view from the lounge may not be as expected, but the cottage makes up for it with its lovely garden and a tidy, modern interior. the comfy bed and super comfy sofa are also highlights mentioned by previous guests.
One aspect that could be improved is the availability of a hairdryer, although this is a very minor issue and most guests would usually bring their own.

We had a wonderful stay at a charming cottage in a perfect location. It was just what we needed for a short break to visit a family member who had recently come out of hospital. the cottage was cosy, well-equipped, and had everything we needed. It truly felt like a mini home away from home. Despite the wet and windy weather, we were still able to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. We can only imagine how lovely it would be to explore the area on some beautiful walks when the weather is better. Next time, we hope to stay longer and discover more of the surrounding countryside. Cons: All was perfect! 😊.
